Blackboard Course Setup


Faculty: To get access to your Blackboard course:

 

You must be entered into your course in Colleague/Owl Link before Blackboard will be updated with your course site. If you do not see your Blackboard course and you think this is in error, please see our FAQs before contacting eLearning.

 

Blackboard Credit Course Setup Procedure

 

The procedure for all Blackboard Credit Course Setup will work as follows:

 

  1. The faculty assignment is entered into Colleague/Owl Link (by the department chair, dean or other designee).
  2. All faculty assigned to credit courses in Colleague will be automatically enrolled as instructor in the corresponding Blackboard course site beginning 45 days prior to the start date of the course. All students registered in credit courses will be automatically enrolled in the Blackboard course site. Noncredit students enrolled in cross-listed credit courses or courses that use Blackboard will also be automatically enrolled in the Blackboard course site. Automatic enrollment updates will process hourly.
  3. Students will be able to login to the Blackboard system one day after registration, but Blackboard course sites will not be available until 4 days prior to the start date of the course. Students MUST have a students.pgcc.edu email account in Colleague in order to be added to Blackboard.
  4. NOTE: Please check your  "My Class Schedule" in Owl Link to ensure your courses have been assigned by the department chair prior to contacting eLearning.
