Blackboard 9 On-Demand Learning Center
Blackboard is PGCC’s e-learning platform. Instructors use Blackboard to teach fully online courses; to post and distribute course content such as syllabuses and handouts; to communicate with students via announcements, discussion board and email messages; to assess student learning through quizzes and online assignments; and much more. Over 400 instructors, 1,024 courses, and 3,500 students used Blackboard at PGCC during the spring 2010 semester.
During the summer of 2010, eLearning Services will upgrade Blackboard from version 7.3 to version 9.0. The new version offers significant improvements including social learning tools such as blogs and journals, Web 2.0 innovations such as a completely redesigned grade book, and integrated components such as quizzes and assignments.
Below is a collection of how-to videos and written instructions related to new Blackboard 9.0 features as well as information about upcoming training workshops. If you are a PGCC instructor or student and have questions or concerns, please contact eLearning Services at elearning@pgcc.edu
