Blackboard IM for Students

NOTE: Blackboard Instant Messaging (Blackboard IM) will no longer be available after December 31, 2018.


New users for the fall 2018 term will need a technician from eLearning Services to send an invite in order for them to get the download file to install Blackboard IM on their laptop or computer. Please submit an askPGCC ticket to request this service.


Blackboard IM instant messaging allows you to easily communicate with fellow students in your classes or instant message your instructors. With Blackboard IM, students and instructors can easily see who’s online and available so they can instantly communicate with peers, colleagues, and experts. You must be registered in a Blackboard course to get access to Blackboard IM.
