Course Description

An introductory course on the different career choices available in the hospitality industry. It offers a broad spectrum of information on customers' perspectives, businesses, and roles in the industry. The focus will be on the unique characteristics associated with ownership, affiliation, customer service, and guest satisfaction, as well as the relationship between products versus service. Emphasis will be on aligning industry terms, core skills, and career opportunities in a variety of areas, for example: travel and tourism, lodging, gaming, restaurants, clubs, theme parks, special events, conferences, and managed services.
